Miss Virginia brought unreserved joy to Maisie’s preschool years. She offered “Story Hour” at our local library which was attended by preschoolers during the school year and by lots of children during the summer. The hour did have stories – read with enthusiasm by Miss Virginia and the occasional guest reader. But there was so much more – singing, dancing, broomstick pony rides, arts, crafts, and sometimes playing in the sprinkler from the local fire station.
When Miss Virginia retired, Maisie and Pat and I wanted to be sure she knew how much she meant to us. So we made this book and had it printed for her.
